RTD E and H Line maintenance will affect schedules and routes starting Tuesday

Maintenance on the Regional Transportation District’s E and H Lines from Tuesday through Thursday will disrupt transit riders between 4:30 a.m. and about noon each day.

Normal schedules will return on Thursday, May 22.

The repairs will eliminate the speed restrictions between Yale and Southmoor stations, the last of 29 slow zones implemented last year on the district’s more than 120 miles of light rail tracks. H Line will not operate north of Southmoor during the maintenance period.

Bus shuttles will operate between the Southmoor and I-25•Broadway stations and will provide connections in and out of Denver Union Station and the Downtown Loop. Between noon and 4:30 a.m. trains will resume normal schedules and operations.

• E Line trains will operate every 15 minutes north of I-25•Broadway Station and every 30 minutes south of Southmoor Station during the disruption.

• H Line trains will not operate north of Southmoor Station. Trains will operate every 30 minutes between Southmoor and Florida stations.

• H Line customers destined for the Downtown Loop will need to transfer to the D Line at I-25•Broadway Station.

• Two H Line trips will not operate at the start of each day during the work: these are the 3:52 a.m. trip from Evans to Florida and the 4:40 a.m. trip from Florida to Southmoor.

• Regular light rail service on the E and H lines will resume at approximately 12:15 p.m. each day of the three-day period.

Customers can board bus shuttles at the following gates:

• I-25•Broadway Station – Southbound, Gate A2

• Louisiana•Pearl Station – Northbound, Gate B; Southbound, Gate A

• University of Denver Station – Gate B

• Colorado Station – Northbound, Gate E; Southbound, Gate C
