Chicken N Pickle grand opening

Chicken N Pickle is opening its first Colorado location next week.

The entertainment complex including a restaurant, sports bar and pickleball courts is making its state debut in Thornton on June 24.

It will be located off of Interstate 25 within the The Grove shopping center at 14225 Lincoln St.

The Chicken N Pickle in Thornton will have eight pickleball courts (six of which are indoors), ping pong, life-sized Battleship game, jenga and cornhole.

It’ll span 45,000 square feet with rooftop seating and two beer gardens

It will be hosting a variety of specials for its grand opening week running from June 24 to 29, from free pickleball to food giveaways, dog-friendly events, family activities and a vendor fair on Sunday.

This will be Chicken N Pickle’s 13th location in the U.S. The pickleball and dining destination was founded in Kansas City in 2016.

“We’re thrilled to bring Chicken N Pickle to Thornton, a community that reflects our desire to offer a space where families, friends and colleagues can create memories and connect through playful experiences,” said the complex’s CEO Brad Clarke in a press release. “Colorado’s active, outdoorsy spirit and Thornton’s strong sense of community make it the ideal place for our next venue.”

Belleview Station in DTC building a 22-story tower

Belleview Station, a walkable district under development at the Denver Tech Center, received approval to move forward on a new 22-story tower.

The building dubbed as “Block F” is set to add 634 apartments, 11,000-square feet of retail and 781 parking spaces, the neighborhood’s master developer Front Range Land & Development Company announced.

Belleview Station is a nine-block district being developed by Front Range Land & Development Company to attract Fortune 500 corporate headquarters, local retail and restaurants and make it a more residential destination.

Block F would bring about 944,000 square feet to the growing district.

“The companies that have invested here or have chosen to move here are realizing tremendous gains, and the people who live and work here have achieved a tremendous live-work balance. This is a place where people and businesses want to be,” said Brooke Bansbach Maloy, vice president at Front Range Land & Development Company in a news release.
