Where good news shines

Ali Farokhmanesh’s debut season in Fort Collins will include a juicy nonconference matchup.

Colorado State and Loyola Chicago announced a home-and-home series that will begin in 2025-26. The Rams will travel to Chicago this year with the Ramblers visiting Fort Collins in 2026.

Farokhmanesh, 37, is the first-year head coach of the Rams. Loyola is coached by 34-year-old Drew Valentine.

CSU holds a 2-1 edge in head-to-head matchups with Loyola. In their most recent matchup, the Rams beat the Ramblers 61-60 in the 2019 Cayman Islands Classic.
