The 8th-best tourist attraction in US is in Colorado – and it has nothing to do with outdoor recreation

One of the top 10 tourist attractions in the country is located in Colorado, according to TripAdvisor – and it has nothing to do with the Great Outdoors that the state is known for.
A museum that often tends to be overlooked by visitors headed to the Centennial State, The National Museum of World War II Aviation in Colorado Springs has been ranked as the ‘8th-best’ attraction in the United States, right behind iconic landmarks like the Empire State building, Central Park, and the NASA Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Perhaps even more impressive, its 4.9-star rating is higher than all but one attraction on the company’s ‘top 25’ list.

Visitors of this museum seem to have a great time checking out the many restored airplanes found on-site and find the guided tour very educational. It’s also worth noting that this museum is known for being family-friendly and great for all ages.
The National Museum of World War II Aviation isn’t the only Colorado Springs spot that’s ranked as one of the top 25 attractions around the country by TripAdvisor either. Garden of the Gods ranked 14th overall with a 4.8-star rating and more than 18,000 reviews.
