Centennial Natural Grocers store reopens this week

Natural Grocers, the natural and organic food store based in Colorado, will reopen one of its stores in Centennial this week.

The grocer’s Centennial-Cherry Knolls store at 6774 S. University Blvd. will reopen on Friday, Sept. 12. The Natural Grocers store across from The Streets at SouthGlenn shopping center first opened in 2010 and the chain closed it to remodel the location.

It’ll have a brighter and more open interior, Natural Grocers said in a news release.

The store now includes a “super-sized” department selling supplements, a larger section for organic produce and body care products, modernized checkout lanes and a nutrition education center.

“Our good4u Crew has had the pleasure of serving Centennial and its surrounding communities for almost 15 years at this location,” said Raquel Isely, vice president of Marketing for Natural Grocers, in a press release. “We look forward to celebrating this remodel with ‘old friends’ who have shopped with us since the beginning, as well as welcoming new customers to the Natural Grocers family in a fun, festive atmosphere.”

Natural Grocers was founded in 1955 in Golden and has about 170 stores nationwide.

Anythink Wright Farms, the Anythink Libraries location at 5877 E. 120th Ave. in Thornton, is now the home of LatinA Flavor Café.

The location that debuted Monday was founded by a group of Latina restaurateurs who live in Adams County: Founder of Tres Leches Treats Melba Velázquez and sisters Karen and Odila Colato of Sivar Café.

“We’re proud to welcome a team so deeply rooted in Adams County and passionate about sharing their heritage,” said Mark Fink, executive director of Anythink Libraries, in a press release. “This café isn’t just about great food; it’s a vibrant space where culture, connection and creativity come together in a way that feels authentically Anythink Libraries.”

The menu highlights the founders’ roots from Puerto Rico and El Salvador with dishes like gluten-free pupusas, piña colada cake, tres leches and drinks like coffee and fresh aguas frescas.

“When people bite into a pupusa or taste our tres leches, we want them to feel the warmth and nostalgia of sitting at their grandmother’s table,” Karen Colato said. “ “Food is a universal connector, and this café gives us a chance to share the traditions and flavors of Puerto Rico and El Salvador with the entire community, starting with Anythink Libraries.”

Denver Premium Outlets openings

There’s a few new stores at Denver Premium Outlets in Castle Rock.

The outlet shopping center off of Interstate 25 is now home to Psycho Bunny, Ku Cha House of Tea and – for a time – Spirit Halloween.

Psycho Bunny, a brand focused on “fashion-forward polos” and lifestyle apparel, opened in the center of the outlet mall. Spirit Halloween, the seasonal costume store, opened next to the Old Navy just in time for people looking for their Halloween outfits. And Ku Cha House of Tea, the specialty tea store, features more than 250 teas and herbs, as well as teaware and utensils. It’s located next to the Nike store.

The stores are open from Monday through Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday has limited hours going from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
