Aurora VA job fair Saturday

VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System is holding a hiring fair on Saturday for people interested in positions in healthcare and public service.

The hiring fair runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center auditorium and concourse, 1700 N. Wheeling St, Aurora, according to a news release from ECHCS.

Walk-in candidates can apply, interview with hiring managers and start the recruitment process at the event, which is open to the public. For those already in the recruitment process, there will also be opportunities to complete fingerprinting, physicals, labs and other outstanding requirements.

Amanda Villa, VA ECHCS’s associate director of access, said the fair is a great way to help veterans as well as search for work options.

“Hiring events like this are more than just recruitment — they’re a commitment to ensuring our veterans receive the dedicated support they deserve,” Villa said. “By filling these hard-to-hire positions, we strengthen our ability to serve those who have served us.”

There are positions available in a variety of healthcare and public service fields, including medical support assistants, nurses, food service workers, social workers, psychologists, licensed professional mental health counselors, physician assistants and police officers, according to the news release.

Attendees are encouraged to bring resumes, references, licenses and transcripts for clinical roles and a photo ID.
