Windsor’s Madden Smiley commits to play basketball at Wyoming | Colorado Sunshine

Where good news shines

Madden Smiley, who helped Windsor High to its first boys basketball state championship in over 100 years, gave a verbal commitment to play his college ball at Wyoming.

The 6-foot-5 guard is a member of the graduating Class of 2026 and announced his commitment Tuesday on X. The son of Northern Colorado coach Steve Smiley, Madden was the Class 5A Player of the Year after leading Windsor to its first state title since 1924.

“Let’s get to work, Laramie!” Smiley wrote on X.

Madden Smiley averaged 21 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game as a junior and could be considered the top college prospect in Colorado.
