Denver weather: Scattered rain possible Monday afternoon
Some scattered rain showers are possible Monday around Denver and the Front Range foothills as September nears its closure.
Denver residents can expect a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. It’ll be partly sunny, with a high near 78. South wind around 6 mph becomes calm in the afternoon.
A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9 p.m. tonight, then a slight chance of showers between 9 and 10 p.m. It’ll be partly cloudy, with a low around 51. South southwest wind between 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
One last chance of rain on the last day of September (Tuesday) before an extended dry and sunny period starts as October begins.
Record high temperatures are not expected, but conditions will be warmer than usual with day time highs reaching into the low- to mid-80s.
