Colorado Golf Club to host 2030 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship
The United States Golf Association is bringing another championship to Colorado.
The USGA announced Monday Colorado Golf Club will host the 2030 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship. The dates of the championship are July 22-27, 2030.
Colorado Golf Club, which was designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw and opened in 2007, has hosted one USGA championship — the 2019 U.S. Mid-Amateur. The club was also the co-host of the 2023 U.S. Amateur Championship at Cherry Hills Country Club.
“The USGA is excited to return to Colorado Golf Club and appreciates the club’s support of amateur golf and their collaboration throughout the years,” said Rob Doone, director of the U.S. Junior Amateur. “The club will host an international field of the best junior players, all hoping to manage and execute their games at the highest level as they compete for the title of world’s best and a spot in the U.S. Open.”
The Parker club also hosted the 2010 Senior PGA Championship and the 2013 Solheim Cup.
Colorado is no stranger to USGA Championships. The state has hosted 35 USGA championships through the 2025 season, including three U.S. Junior Amateurs (1950 at Denver Country Club, 1976 at Hiwan Golf Club and 1987 at Sonnenalp Golf Club). In the summer of 2024, the U.S. Senior Open was hosted by The Broadmoor East Course in Colorado Springs.
“Colorado Golf Club is a strategic and demanding championship venue, and we could not be more proud to welcome the 2030 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship,” Graham Cliff, the club’s director of golf said. “With an emphasis on the future generation of professional golfers, the Junior Amateur is meaningful to our members and to golf enthusiasts everywhere. When you look at the past winners of this event, it is clear to see that these competitors are the future of professional golf. We are thrilled to host in 2030.”
