Denver museums offer free admission for Bank of America Cardholders

From art and science to nature and history, museums across Denver are offering free admission to Bank of America cardholders on select weekends throughout the year.

Through the bank’s “Museums on Us” program, the Denver Art Museum, Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Denver Botanic Gardens and History Colorado provide free general admission on the first full weekend of every month.

Participants must present a Bank of America, Merrill or Bank of America Private Bank credit or debit card along with a photo ID. This offer is limited to one ticket per cardholder and is not transferable. The bank encourages visitors to check each organization’s website or call ahead for additional details and reservations.

“Bank of America believes the arts have a unique ability to connect people and communities and help local economies thrive,” the bank stated in a press release. “This is one example of how the bank strengthens the local communities it serves in, creates greater cultural understanding, and expands accessibility to the arts.”

Denver Art Museum

Founded in 1893, the Denver Art Museum holds over 70,000 works of art in its permanent collection. Current exhibitions include “Gio Ponti: Designer of a Thousand Talents,” “Eyes on: Susan Wick,” and fashion through “Conversation Pieces: Stories from the Fashion Archives.

The museum also showcases several international exhibitions, including “A Century of Art in Latin America,” “Arts of Africa Gallery” and “Painting in the Andes, 1680-1780.”

Denver Museum of Nature & Science

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science serves more than 1.7 million people annually and curates exhibits on anthropology, earth sciences, health sciences, paleontology, space sciences and zoology. Current offerings explore nature through LEGO® sculptures, an Egyptian mummy exhibit, a free-range space and science gallery and an extensive gems and minerals collection.

Denver Botanic Gardens

Cardholders can enjoy the gardens at the York Street location, which showcases living collections of Colorado’s plant life. The gardens feature 24 acres of walkable paths featuring diverse plants from around the world. The gardens also offer educational opportunities and recently celebrated their 40th anniversary of their holiday light show, “Blossom of Lights.

Inside the Science Pyramid, visitors can experience how Colorado’s water, animals and plants connect to the landscape and its people. The Freyer-Newman Center also hosts rotating art exhibitions inspired by nature, plants and food.

History Colorado

The History Colorado Center showcases the state’s history and culture through exhibits and educational programs. Current exhibits showcase Colorado’s connection to wildlife, artifacts from the Paleoindians to Jack Swigert’s Apollo 13 flight suit, and examine one of the earliest European expeditions through present-day Colorado.
