Loveland gets its first Raising Cane’s
A new Raising Cane’s restaurant opened in North Colorado on Monday, marking the fast food chain’s first expansion into Loveland.
The Louisiana-based chain known for its cooked-to-order fried chicken, toast and Cane’s sauce debuted at 4363 Opalite Drive, Raising Cane’s announced.
“I’m excited to bring Raising Cane’s to Loveland for the first time with the opening of our new restaurant,” Todd Graves, Raising Cane’s owner and founder, said in a news release. “We opened our first Colorado Restaurant nearly 10 years ago in the nearby city of Fort Collins and have received incredible support from loyal Caniacs throughout the state ever since.”
The new spot, which opened near the Loveland Sports Park, has both sit-in dining and a drive-thru. The restaurant features decor of local high school and collegiate sports gear from the region’s schools and universities, Raising Cane’s said. It also features artwork of Loveland landmarks and outdoor scenery.
Raising Cane’s hopes to support local schools and events in the communities following its opening in Loveland, stated Jade Gale, Raising Cane’s area leader of restaurants.
“Northern Colorado has such a strong sense of pride and connection, and we’re honored to become a part of it. Opening in Loveland allows us to create new jobs, invest in the local Community and build a passionate Crew dedicated to delivering our ONE LOVE — Craveable Chicken Finger Meals,” Gale said.
Western Development Group names new president and senior vp
A Denver developer with many projects in Cherry Creek has a few changes on its leadership team.
Western Development Group named Tom Plisko as its new president, taking over from David Steel, who co-founded and led the real estate development firm for nearly 20 years. Steel was named the organization’s new director.
The firm also named Matt Dodge as its senior vice president of real estate.
“Bringing in proven leaders with the experience and background that Tom and Matt possess further strengthens our leadership team and positions Western to continue advancing its long-term commitment of developing and owning premier properties in our community,” Steel said in a news release.
Western Development Group was founded by Steel, Christian Anschutz and the late Roy Kline.
Plisko has more than 25 years of experience in strategic finance and operations, according to Western Development Group. He previously worked as the principal and chief financial officer at Three Bridges Advisors and as CFO and chief operating officer for Braddock Financial. He also worked at Goldman Sachs and Deloitte.
Dodge brings in 15 years of experience, the firm said. He specializes in acquisitions, development and asset management. He previously worked at Comunale Properties, Broe Real Estate Group Prologis and Marcus & Millichap.

Burlington announces opening date for new Aurora store
Burlington Stores, Inc. announced last week it plans to open a new store in Aurora very soon.
The new store will open on April 3 at the Saddle Rock Village, which will be the chain’s 17th store in Colorado. It will be located at 7360 South Gartrell Road.
The store will feature Burlington’s new modern store design, which has wider and “more organized” aisles. Burlington said it has converted more than half of its stores to the new format and plans to finish converting its remaining stores by the end of 2026.
“Opening a new, modernized store in Aurora is an exciting step for us as we continue expanding Burlington locations nationwide,” said Michael O’Sullivan, CEO of Burlington Stores, in a news release. “We look forward to giving local customers the chance to explore great savings, find fresh brands, and experience our new and improved store design.”
Burlington, which is headquartered in New Jersey, has more than 1,200 stores in 46 states.
