Arvada police are investigating a fatal collision between a Regional Transportation District train and a pedestrian early Sunday along the G Line route near Allison Street.

Officers were called to the scene at 12:15 a.m. Sunday, police said.

According to the Arvada Police Department, all rail crossing warning signals appeared to be functioning properly at the time of the crash. The person’s identity has not been released.

Police are working in coordination with the RTD as the investigation continues. Several surveillance camera systems in the area are being reviewed to help determine the circumstances leading up to the collision, authorities said.
