Highlands Ranch hit-and-run suspect identified, had suspended license over DUI
The driver accused of driving onto a sidewalk and hitting three people in Highlands Ranch on Monday had a suspended license due to a previous DUI.
Adam Bauserman, 28, faces eight charges, including vehicular homicide, vehicular assault and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, according to a Tuesday evening news release from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

One person was killed, while two others were seriously injured in the incident, which happened at about 10:30 a.m. on Wildcat Reserve Parkway. According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, a Ford F150 was traveling eastbound when it left the roadway and drove onto the sidewalk, striking the pedestrians.
Police later asked the public for help in identifying witnesses and footage relating to the crash.
Witnesses told police Bauserman was driving his truck at a high rate of speed when it swerved onto the sidewalk, jumped up in the air several feet and then hit the three pedestrians, according to his arrest affidavit. The witnesses told police they believed the action was intentional due to how fast the truck was traveling.
Afterwards, the truck reentered the roadway into westbound traffic before taking a u-turn to drive past the site, a witness told police. Bauserman was arrested about 5.5 miles from the site of the crash.
While being placed into custody, Bauserman told police he believed he hit someone, and thought that person was dead. Bauserman asked to speak with his attorney before asking police if the person he hit had died, to which the responding officer said one person had been killed, according to the arrest affidavit from DCSO.
The person who died was identified in the affidavit as Corrine More, 35. The other two people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, including a brain bleed and spinal fractures.
Bauserman appeared in court Tuesday morning, according to 9NEWS. At the time of the crash, Bauserman was driving without a valid license as a result of a DUI from April 2025. Court records from that case show that his blood alcohol content was more than .2, 9NEWS reported. The legal limit for driving is .08.
Bauserman is due back in court on Friday, according to a spokesperson for the 23rd Judicial District Attorney’s office.
The defendant’s bail has been set at $100,000, according to the sheriff’s office.
