One person was pronounced dead after a shooting southeast of City Park on Sunday morning, police said.

The Denver Police Department first posted on social media just after 5 a.m. Sunday that they were investigating a shooting with one victim in the area of East Colfax Avenue and North Dahlia Street.

Officials later added to the thread to note that the victim in the shooting was pronounced dead and investigators have determined the incident to be a homicide.
