Two of the three orphaned bear cubs that were released into the backcountry of Teller County by Colorado Parks & Wildlife make their escape from a crate on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025. The three bears were recovered in a Broadmoor area neighborhood in southwest Colorado Springs in July. A total of five cubs were released at two different locations. The nightly Mile High Drone Show on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, ended with a tribute towards the year ahead for Colorado. While our country is celebrating its 250th birthday, Colorado is celebrating their 150th birthday. For 41 nights, the Mile High Drone Show has been lighting up the Denver skyline with a free show featuring 600 drones. The last night to see the show Is New Year’s Eve.
