23 arrested on charges of burglarizing multiple Denver area dispensaries

The suspects are members of two organized crime groups in Denver Metro area

Twenty-three members of two separate crime organizations have been arrested on charges of burglarizing metro Denver area marijuana dispensaries following two law enforcement operations.

The suspects were arrested following two “lengthy” multi-agency investigations conducted by the Denver District Attorney’s Office, Denver Police Department, Aurora Police Department and the Regional Anti-Violence Enforcement Network (RAVEN) — among others, according to a news release by the Denver District Attorney’s Office.

The operations led to the arrest of 23 suspects in connection to two crime organizations, according to the release.

The suspects will face charges connected to stealing vehicles and using them to burglarize more than 40 marijuana dispensaries, federal firearms licensees and other businesses, according to the release.

The suspects are also looking at charges of aggravated robbery, carjacking, kidnapping, illegal possession of firearms and violations of the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act.

The alleged crimes led to the theft of approximately $780,000 in cash and property, according to the release.

“The streets of Denver are safer today because of these two investigations and I am grateful to the many law enforcement officers who have worked so hard on these cases to get us to this point,” Denver District Attorney Beth McCann said in the release.

“This operation is another prime example of the phenomenal crime fighting RAVEN and the participating agencies at the federal, state, county and municipal levels are doing to make our region safer,” said Aurora Police Chief Art Acevedo in the release. “The operations resulted in the arrests of more than 20 criminals responsible for many acts of violence and flooding our communities with weapons, dangerous drugs and illegal, fully-automatic conversion devices, including Glock switches and auto sears.”

Suspects arrested include: Genero Zuniga, 20; Hunter Walthall, 21; Josiah Hicks, 21; Markis Cordova, 20; Khalil Orr, 20; Korey Anderson, 20; Ladell Scarbourough, 21; K’Mauri Humphrey, 20; Jonathan Valencia, 18; Neshaun Ealy, 18; Gabriel Frias, 18; Aaron Charron, 19; Nathan Delgado Perez, 20; Christopher Nevarez, 27; Micah Garduno, 19; Jacob Gregory, 21; Nash Mitchell, 20; Javier Jurado, 19; Charees Loftin, 19; and two unnamed juveniles.
