Capitol Police shut down two roads due to a bomb threat at the Department of Labor on Tuesday evening.
In a message to congressional staff, Capitol Police said that First Street and Constitution Avenue NW and First Street and Louisiana NW would be closed. The roads reopened shortly after when an all-clear message was sent.
The bomb threat adds to a number of incidents that the Capitol Police have dealt with this year, in addition to the famous Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.
On Good Friday, an officer was killed in a car-ramming attack.
In August, a man in a black pickup truck who threatened to have a bomb parked outside the Library of Congress, forcing evacuations of nearby congressional office buildings for hours. The man eventually surrendered to police.

The Capitol Police in September arrested an apparent white supremacist in possession of a bayonet and a machete outside the Democratic National Committee headquarters.
