Denver police respond to officer involved shooting during stolen motorcycle investigation

Denver Police are investigating an officer involved shooting at 48th Avenue and Jackson Street. Denver Police first reported the shooting at 9 a.m., Monday.

Police have advised alternate routes for those with business in the area.

Two suspects were arrested and no one was hit by gunfire, according to a 10 a.m. update from the Denver Police Department. Neither police nor suspects were injured, police said at about 10:30 a.m.

The shooting occurred as police were investigating a report of a stolen motorcycle. One officer fired his weapon after a confrontation with the suspects, who appeared to be armed, according to police.

Specifics of the situation are still under investigation and Denver police said they will provide updates via X, formerly known as Twitter, when they become available.
