Nikola Jokic reveals favorite dinosaur after enjoying Jurassic Quest with daughter

As far as we know, Nikola Jokic still likes horses, but he’s entered a new phase, he now likes dinosaurs.

The Denver Nuggets’ star center was spotted this past weekend taking in the scenes at Jurassic Quest with his daughter atop his shoulders.

The touring event, which made a stop in Colorado at the Denver Convention Center this past weekend, bills itself as “The largest and most realistic Dinosaur Exhibit on tour, featuring true-to-detail (and size!) dinosaurs”, which include a 60-foot Spinosaurus, an 80-foot long Apatosaurus and a “life-size” Tyrannosaurus Rex.

It didn’t take long for the video of Jokic at Jurassic Quest to make the rounds on social media, and after the Nuggets’ 125-119 win over the Toronto Raptors on Monday, Scott Hastings of Altitude Sports asked Jokic what his favorite dinosaur, in fact, was.

“To be honest, I forgot every name of the dinosaur,” Jokic responded. “It’s really hard to pronounce it, so…the one with the big…the one that eats the grass. The big, huge one.”

Hastings asked, “Brontosaurus?” To which Jokic responded, “Probably”.

Of scientific note, long necked, gigantic dinosaurs are generally classified as Sauropods, which includes several species, including Apatosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Brontosaurus, Camarasaurus, and Diplodocus. Apatosaurus and Camarasaurus are among the species promoted on display at the Jurassic Quest exhibit.

As Jokic told reporters during last year’s NBA Finals, ‘Basketball is not the most important thing in my life’. Understandably, the 6-feet-11-inch center was a bit shaken when he found out a quality moment with his daughter was not private.

Nevertheless, it was a reminder that above all his awards, which include an NBA League MVP, an NBA Finals MVP, and an NBA Championship, Jokic’s most valued accomplishment is being a loving father.
