Both directions of C-470 near Ken Caryl reopened after a three-hour closure because of a rollover crash, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

Authorities responded to a report of a serious accident on the highway between the Ken Caryl and Bowles Avenue exits.

Upon their arrival, they located a driver who was ejected during the crash. They were taken to a hospital with serious injuries, but their current status is unknown, said Trooper Josh Lewis, a public information officer, with the state patrol.

Closures of the highway caused significant delays as lines of traffic extended from the crash site more than 3 miles to 285, Lewis said.

Investigators are trying to determine what led to the crash. It is currently unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor.
