Human remains were found in a river in Colorado on Saturday, according to Eagle County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to a report of human remains found in the Eagle River in the town of Edwards about 6 PM, the Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
The identity of who the remains belonged to was not released, pending notification of next of kin. The cause of death will be determined by the Eagle County Coroner's Office.
No other details were released at time of writing and the investigation is ongoing.
Edwards is located in Eagle County about 14 miles west of Vail along Interstate 70.
