Denver's Juneteenth Celebration in 2019

Juneteenth celebrations across Colorado and the United States are slated for this weekend. This will be the first festival in Denver since March of 2020.

Parades, food and live music are on the menu this weekend with celebrations beginning Friday.

  • Friday
    • Juneteenth Music Festival Livestream: In partnership with Denver Community Media, the six-hour broadcast features special guests that will preview the highlighted weekend events. The event begins at 2 p.m. and can be viewed on Denver Community Media channels, Comcast 56 and 881.
    • Juneteenth R&B Summer Kick Off featuring 112: A "cookout" style, family friendly event at Levitt Pavillion will be an evening of soulful sounds from local talent and headliner, 112. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and will run until 10 p.m.
  • Saturday:
    • Junteeneth Musical Festival Parade: Staging at 9 a.m. begins at 11 a.m. in Denver
    • Junteeneth Musical Festival Street Festival: Begins at noon following the parade and will continue through 8 p.m. 
    • Five Points of Culture: Live panels, food, pop-up Junteenth Museum: Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Theater in Denver. 
    • Aurora Junteenth Celebration: 1 p.m. to 5
  • Sunday:
    • Junteenth Music Festival Street Festival: Runs from 2 until 8 p.m. with music performances, food and more.
    • Black Pride Colorado: Drag Gospel Brunch: at X Bar Denver on Sunday beginning at noon.
