Pedestrian struck, killed by a car in Centennial

A pedestrian died in Centennial after being struck by a vehicle on Arapahoe Road Monday morning.

Arapahoe County Sheriff Department deputies responded to the scene at 7:14 a.m. Monday, according to a post on social media platform X. At the time, officers reported road closures of eastbound Arapahoe Road at S. Dexter Street.

Later at 7:56 a.m., the sheriff’s office indicated the crash resulted in a pedestrian’s death.

The driver remained on scene and was cooperating with investigators, authorities said.

All eastbound lanes of Arapahoe Road were reopened around 8:20 a.m., according to the sheriffs department.

The crash remains under investigation.
