Northbound I-25 reopen in Fort Collins after pedestrian hit and killed
Update: Interstate 25 was reopened around 10 a.m., after an early morning crash killed a pedestrian in the northbound lanes near the Prospect Road exit.
The interstate was closed for nearly six hours while crews worked the scene of the fatality.
Colorado State Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian on Interstate 25 in Fort Collins early Monday morning.
According to CSP a call for a crash on I-25 near the Prospect Road exit was received around 4:15 a.m.
The driver of a Chevy Silverado was going north on I-25 when they hit a pedestrian, according to CSP. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver also reported minor injuries.
Northbound I-25 is closed while CSP investigates, with traffic diverting onto the exit at the Prospect Road to go around the crash scene.
There is no estimated time of I-25 opening northbound yet while crews investigate the scene.
