CEO of major company killed in tragic ATV crash

Founder and CEO of LendingTree Doug Lebda, 55, died following an October 12 ATV crash at a family farm in North Carolina. Not many details have been released related to the crash other than that it was accidental in nature. As of now, no other injuries or fatalities related to the crash have been reported.

Doug Lebda was remembered by his company for his vision, optimism, kindness, and generosity, described as “more than a leader,” and as a friend, a mentor, and a guiding light.

LendingTree is an online loan marketplace with around 900 to 1,000 employees. It has a market capitalization of around $750 million. LendingTree president and COO Scott Peyree has replaced Lebda as CEO.
