Northbound I-25 reopens after fatal crash slows morning traffic in Lone Tree

A fatal crash early Tuesday morning closed the RidgeGate exit ramp off of Interstate 25 and backed up northbound traffic for over three hours from Colorado Springs to Denver.

The City of Lone Tree confirmed the single-car crash was fatal at 7 a.m. Tuesday, according to a post on X. Officials later confirmed that the fatality included a female driver and that there were no injuries to a child in the same vehicle.

Officials noted the crash had been cleared and that the roadway was reopened as of around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
