Authorities seek help locating missing woman in remote Colorado

The Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office and Mountain Rescue Aspen are asking for help locating a missing person in the area of Watson Divide and Old Snowmass.

According to a Facebook post from MRA, the woman, Lara, was last seen walking on foot in the area of Watson Divide Road yesterday morning. She is described as “overdue.”

The Watson Divide and Old Snowmass area lies between Snowmass Village and Basalt, and is about 20-30 minutes from Aspen. Watson Divide is a mountain ridge and its namesake road is rural, connecting Highway 82 to Snowmass Creek Road.

Lara was last seen wearing white clothing and is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall.

MRA also said that any information, even if it’s small, could be helpful.
