As a world-class ski resort, Vail has the activities, dining, and shopping to match. Vail is an excellent choice for a family-friendly vacation, as it provides great opportunities for kids to explore the outdoors and have fun doing it.

Here are some of the best family-friendly activities Vail has to offer:

Families can take gondola rides up Vail Mountain (up Gondola One or the Eagle Bahn Gondola), even if they’re not wearing skis. Enjoy a scenic ride up the mountain and even enjoy lunch at the top.

Families will get the change to visit with Santa on select weekend dates in November and December to celebrate Christmas.; The event will take place at the Lionshead Tree Lighting and then on the International Bridge in Vail Village.

3. Vail Winterfest

The 18th Annual Vail Winterfest will take place from Jan. 2 through Jan. 10 this year, with more events on Jan. 24, Jan. 30, and Jan. 31. The Gore Creek Promenade in Vail Village will turn into a Winter wonderland as the sculptures are created. This year’s theme is ‘night owls.’
