Bear breaks into Colorado home two times in one night
A black bear broke into a house in Boulder twice early Wednesday morning, according to reporting from Denver7.
Denver7 reports that the resident said that the bear had been breaking into her car in the weeks prior. However, the situation grew when the bear broke into her home through the porch’s sliding doors at around 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
The two residents of the home crawled out a window and ran to a car. They called the police. When the police arrived, they yelled at the bear and it ran away.
However, the bear returned a few hours later and ransacked the kitchen. The residents banged on the walls and screamed until the bear fled from the house for good, according to Denver7.
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office shared a video of the incident, which you can check out on Facebook here.
According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), bears are very active right now as they eat as many calories as they can before winter. Check out CPW’s list of at-home BearWise basics to ensure you avoid attracting bears to your home.
