Everyone in Colorado knows about the big cities – Denver, Colorado Springs, Boulder – but there’s a lot of Colorado that’s still unpopulated or close to it. Here’s a list of the smallest Colorado towns by population according to the latest available data (2014). For towns with the same reported population, the town with the slowest population growth gets the upperhand. Note: this list only includes towns that are designated as such in the official census. There are a lot of small undesignated communities around the state.

Silverton, Colorado is a smaller Colorado town, though a population of over 600 keeps it off of this list. Photo Credit: ArtyAlison (iStock)
