$10,000 in prizes set to be awarded in costume contest at Colorado Halloween party
Denver’s Stockyards Event Center is set to host the popular “Coloween” Halloween party, which will include a $10,000 costume contest.
Party-goers will be treated to an immersive, 40,000-square-feet jungle-themed Halloween experience. The event will feature electrifying performances and a huge dance party with up to 4,000 costumed attendees able to attend. There will be two massive stages with festival-level production and lighting.
To participate in the costume contest, you must pre-register before 5 p.m. on Oct. 26 for a chance to be in the top 20 invited to participate during the event. Then you must send a photo of yourself in costume to a phone number you will receive after you pre-register no later than 8 p.m. on Oct. 26. Costumes will be judged on creativity, difficulty, and authenticity.
A panel of judges will select the ‘top 20’ invited participants to compete in round two of the competition, held live at Coloween from 9-11 p.m. on the main stage. The ten finalists will be invited back to the stage at midnight where the audience will vote for the finalists. The three finalists who receive the loudest responses from the crowd will move on to the final round where the winner will be selected.
The winner will receive $7,500, second place will get $1,500, and third place will win $1,000.
