Here’s when the ‘next chance of snow’ is expected in Colorado

Colorado’s first major snowstorm of fall may be mostly over, but fear not – more snow is on the way.

According to OpenSnow meteorologist Joel Gratz, the next chance of snow can be expected on Tuesday, October 29. Not many details related to this storm have been released at this time, but it’s for sure something to watch.

For those unfamiliar with OpenSnow, it’s hands-down one of the best Colorado weather sources around. In additional for providing detailed resort-specific breakdowns related to the snow forecast, content provides a look at larger winter trends.

Anyone who will be heading to the Colorado slopes this winter should bookmark their Colorado Daily Snow page for a brief preview of what’s going on and a free look at how much snow resorts around the state can expect over the upcoming five-day period. Subscribe to access long-term forecasts, view three-dimensional mapping, and to get weather alerts, and more.

While the National Weather Service is a great resource for winter weather previews and will often release ‘expected snowfall’ mapping a few days out, OpenSnow tends to give a longer-term preview that’s tailored for those seeking the ultimate Colorado slopesport experience – especially with their 10-day preview for subscribers.

As of October 21, statewide snowpack is sitting at 379 percent of the to-date long-term norm.
