The Thornton Police Department in Colorado is on the hunt for a driver who is alleged to have deliberately driven over a pedestrian.

According to law enforcement, the incident is said to have occurred at about 7:35 p.m. on September 13. The pedestrian was reportedly walking along the 12600 block of York Street when the suspect vehicle sped past. At the point, the pedestrian yelled at the driver to slow down.

The driver is then said to have turned his vehicle around on the road, chasing down and deliberately driving into the pedestrian. This resulted in the pedestrian sustaining serious bodily injuries.

The suspect vehicle has been described as an early-90s Honda Civic with mismatched wheels and a red and white sticker on the rear driver’s side window. While details about the suspect weren’t released, law enforcement presumably believes the driver is a male.

“For all those good citizens out there that don’t want to tolerate this kind of behavior, please read, share, and keep an eye out for this unique looking vehicle,” wrote the police department about the incident. “Anyone with information is asked to call Thornton PD at 720-977-5069.”
