Broncos draft picks Bryant, Jones, Robinson, Crawshaw agree to contract terms

The Broncos are busy locking up their draft picks before the start of Friday’s three-day rookie minicamp.

Sources said Wednesday the Broncos have agreed to terms with wide receiver Pat Bryant, a third-round pick from Illinois, defensive end Sav’ion Jones, a third-round selection from LSU, outside linebacker Que Robinson, a fourth-round pick out of Alabama, and punter Jeremy Crawshaw, a sixth-round pick from Florida. That follows The Denver Gazette reporting Tuesday that tight end Caleb Lohner, a seventh-round pick out of Utah, had agreed to terms.

Bryant, selected No. 74 overall, will get a four-year, $6.581 million deal with a signing bonus of $1.426 million. He will count $1.196 million on the 2025 salary cap.

Jones, selected No. 101 overall, will receive a four-year, $6.161 million deal with a signing bonus of $1.12 million. He will count $1.12 million on the cap.

Robinson, taken No. 134 overall, will get a four-year, $5.054 million contract with a signing bonus of $854,248. He will count $1.053 million on the cap.

Crawshaw, selected No. 216 overall, will get a four-year, $4.37 million deal with a signing bonus of $174,288. He will count $883,572 on the cap.

Denver’s other drafted players are cornerback Jahdae Barron (first round) and running back RJ Harvey (second). If they don’t sign before the start of minicamp, they likely would participate under injury protection agreements.

Rookies and other eligible players will report Thursday in preparation for the minicamp.

Pryce lauds Broncos

Former Broncos star defensive end Trevor Pryce likes what he’s seeing out of his former team.

Pryce played with Denver from 1997-2005, winning Super Bowls in each of his first two seasons and making four Pro Bowls. He lauded the Broncos for having quarterback Bo Nix, cornerback Pat Surtain II and several top pass rushers.

“I’m excited with what the whole team is going to do,” Pryce said. “They’ve kind of got things together and it looks like they’re about to go on a run. If you got a quarterback, guys who can get to the quarterback and a corner, you’re kind of like OK. You know what I mean.”

Broncos among award finalists

The Broncos’ public relations staff has been named one of four finalists for the Pete Rozelle Award, which is named by the Pro Football Writers of America and goes annually to a team “that consistently strives for excellence in its dealings and relationships with the media.”

Members of the PFWA will vote for the winner. The Broncos previously won the award in 1990, 2014 and 2016. Other finalists are Detroit, Minnesota and Washington.

Also, the late John Teerlinck was named one of six finalists for the PFWA’s Paul Zimmerman Award, which is a lifetime achievement honor for a notable NFL assistant coach. Teerlinck, who died in 2020, worked with six NFL teams from 1989-2011, including serving as Denver’s defensive line coach from 1997-2001.

Two former coaches will be selected for the award, also voted on by PFWA members. The other finalists are Thomas Catlin, Floyd Peters, Richie Petitbon, Terry Robiskie and Jeff Stoutland.
