Colorado Mesa men’s lacrosse punched its ticket for the NCAA Division II national tournament for the second time in program history.
The Mavericks clinched a berth with an 18-14 win over Flagler College Friday in the Peach Belt Conference title game in St. Augustine, Fla.
No. 17 Colorado Mesa last played in the national tournament in 2017 and learns its draw Wednesday. The opening round is played on campus sites.
The Mavericks got goals from 11 players to win the league title.
