With New Orleans having plucked defensive tackle P.J. Mustipher off the Broncos’ practice squad, linebacker Durell Nchami was signed Wednesday to replace him.

Nchami is a 6-foot-4, 258-pound undrafted rookie out of Maryland. During his career with the Terrapins, he had 17 1/2 tackles for loss, including nine sacks. That included last season having six tackles for loss, including three sacks.

The Saints on Wednesday signed Mustipher off Denver’s practice squad to their 53-man roster. Mustipher is an undrafted rookie out of Penn State who initially signed with the Broncos last May.
