Denver weather: Continued warming Thursday with highs into the 60s, possible record high Saturday

The warm up continues Thursday as high temperatures jump into the low 60s around Denver and the metro area.

Denver residents can expect mostly sunny skies today, with a high near 61, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. South winds to blow around 5 mph, becoming east southeast in the afternoon.

Tonight it’ll be mostly clear, with a low around 36. South winds to blow around 6 mph.

“Friday and Saturday will be mild and dry with near record highs on Saturday,” the NWS said. “There will be areas of elevated fire weather conditions across the foothills and adjacent plains on Saturday due to very dry and breezy conditions.” The record high for Nov. 23 is 72, set back in 2017.

A system will bring snow to the mountains and a mix of rain and snow to the plains late Sunday into Monday morning.

“Light snow accumulations are expected in the mountains and none across the plains,” the NWS said.

Another system will bring moderate snow to the mountains on Wednesday and Thanksgiving. The plains could also see a round of snow during this period and travel could be impacted.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 65. South southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 69. South southwest wind around 6 mph, with gusts as high as 16 mph.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 55.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 46.
