Denver weather: Widespread rain showers Thursday
Denver is forecast for cloudy skies and afternoon showers Thursday, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Expect mostly cloudy skies and a high of 86 degrees. There’s a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast, mainly after 5 p.m.
“Widespread showers and thunderstorms are forecast across the mountains today, and will gradually spread into the I-25 corridor and plains this afternoon and evening,” the NWS said. “These storms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall, which could lead to localized flooding issues across the burn areas, and in locations that have recently received heavy rain.”
Looking ahead to Thursday night, there’s a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast through midnight. Expect a low of 62 degrees.
A slight chance of showers will continue Friday and through the upcoming weekend, with highs in the upper 80s and 90s.

Sunday: There’s a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast, mainly after noon. Expect partly sunny skies and a high of 89 degrees.
Monday: Expect mostly sunny skies and a high of 85 degrees.
