Denver residents can expect mostly sunny skies today, with a high near 53, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. South winds to blow between 5 to 7 mph become light and variable in the afternoon.
Tonight it’ll be mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. South winds to blow around 5 mph become calm after midnight.
Slight cooling on Friday via a cold front pushing through, but back into the mid 50s for the weekend, all days offering mostly sunny to sunny skies.

In 1973: High winds occurred across all of metro Denver with the foothills area being hit the hardest. A wind gust to 120 mph was recorded in Boulder where damage to residences, mobile homes, fences, and buildings totaled 100 thousand dollars.
