Denver weather: Sunny, dry and calm Thursday

Weather around metro Denver Thursday will be much of the same as it has been all week; sunny, dry and calm.

Denver residents can expect sunny skies today, with a high near 56, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. South winds between around 6 mph become calm.

Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low around 29. South winds to blow between 3 to 5 mph.

“Mild and dry conditions are expected to continue through the weekend with a few snow showers possible across the northern Mountains by late Sunday afternoon,” the NWS said.

“The next storm system will bring colder temperatures along with a better chance of snow to the forecast area Sunday night through Tuesday, with the best chances expected Monday, which may cause slick travel conditions for the Monday morning commute.”

Here’s the 4-day forecast from the National Weather Service.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 59. South southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 60. South southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the afternoon.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 58.

Monday: A chance of snow, mainly before 11 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 36.
